When we are in the moment, we are present. We are absorbed. We lose track of time. We sense, we see and we feel with heightened awareness. What takes over?...Focus. Fun. Effort. Competitiveness. Strategy. Instinct. Pride. Maybe, something to prove. We have the opportunity to forget about our hardships and lifes' injustices when we are between the lines. It's possible for us to experience those pure moments when we are free 'just playing.' No awareness of homework, tests, our next outfit and all that we juggle. We're not thinking about the next game, the last play or what's for dinner. Celebrate the people who let you do what you do. Lacrosse is not often life and death, but it does often become a big part of your life and who you are. This happened for me. Parents, friends and angels support us in finding playing opportunities and chances to learn, grow and see how far we might take the game. They help take care of scheduling, logistics and obligations and make it possible for us to be there.  Join me in thanking those who allow us to play in the moment....Now, go play!
